Exploring Our Faith Community
This is a new module in a series recently published by The Free Methodist Church in Canada (of which we are a part). It is designed to help people grow in their walk with Jesus and their involvement in the local church.
Some of the topics:
- The Church: Then & Now
- What does a Free Methodist believe?
- Changed Hearts, Changed Lives
- What’s important at Lakeside Church?
There will be 5 sessions on Tuesday nights from 6:30 – 8:00 pm at the church office beginning January 11. Sessions will be participatory and will revolve around discussion of key questions.
If you are curious about what Lakeside, or the Free Methodist Church, are about; or if you are interested in becoming a member of Lakeside church, this class is for you. We have scheduled this class so that those considering membership can take it in preparation for the Annual General Meeting in February.
Classes will be held at the church office (view map) 6:30 – 8:00 pm on Tuesdays: January 11, 18, 25, February 1, 8

MSG Taster: Curling
Our next MSG Taster is on January 15, 2011 at the Salmon Arm Curling Club… you guessed it, we’re curling!
Curling will begin at 6:30 pm followed by potluck appetizers. Sign up individually or as a team. Please let us know if you would like to be placed on a team. Brooms and sliders will be provided. In order to keep costs down and so that you can invite a friend, donations will be gratefully received. Please register by Thursday Jan. 13.
Christmas Open House 2010
Please join us for our 2010 Christmas Open House at 6:00pm on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at the SASCU Rec. Centre auditorium. This year’s FREE event once again includes family pictures, Santa, doorprizes, activities for the kids as well as a brief program and of course, the all favorite, swimming. We look forward to having you join us for this fun filled evening.
