Mark 7:1-23

6 Jesus replied, “You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you, for he wrote,    ‘These people honor me with their lips,  but their hearts are far from me.

7 Their worship is a farce,   for they teach man-made ideas as commands from God.’

Faith & Power

Feb 12, 2012   //   Jayson   //   The Gospel of Mark  //  No Comments

Jairus and the bleeding woman are opposites in almost every possible way, yet they both know where they need to put their faith—in Christ—we need to put our faith in Him as well. We need to run to him, fall at his feet, confess our sin, repent of it and believe.

Governance Board member Jayson Ursulak preaches on the themes of Power, Faith and Impurity in Faith & Power.

On hearing this, Jesus said to them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” —Mark 2:16-17
