When is service?

Sunday Morning @ 10:00am

What is available for kids and youth?

During our Sunday Morning Service we have nursery care for children 18 months and under and senior nursery for chilrdren 18 months to 2 years. The nursery is at the back of the church. KidZone is offered for children 3 years-grade 5. During the service they will be invited to join their teachers downstairs where they will have fun while learning Bible-based values. Children must be signed in and out of the Senior Nursery by a parent. TeenZone also meets downstairs part way through the service.

How should I dress?

We care more about having you here with us than how you look. Lakeside is a casual atmosphere, so be comfortable in what you wear and how you worship. If you've been giving church a miss because you haven't got "church clothes", think again.

What should I expect when I get there?

When you arrive at the church you'll be met by greeters at the door. The people at Lakeside wear name tags and if you would like one as well, head for the name tag table. The service starts with music, and our worship band is great. They play contemporary Christian music and the words will be displayed on the screen. Feel free to stand or sit, clap or sing - worship however you are comfortable.  If you have children, up to 2 years, there are nursery volunteers on duty each week in the nursery and senior nursery at the back of the church (or feel free to come into the nursery yourself). After a few introductory worship songs, the kids are invited downstairs to KidZone. Children 18 months to 2 years old must be signed in and out of the Senior Nursery. If it's your first time, feel free to escort your older children downstairs and stay for a bit while they get comfortable, chances are they'll be having so much fun they won't notice you're there anyway. Upstairs, our pastor will share a message which is based on the Bible, yet relevant to our lives in the 21st Century. We'll meet you where you're at. Sometimes we have special music, dramas or people sharing their stories of how God is working in their lives.  Services usually last about an hour. At offering time, please don't feel obligated to participate. The offering is for regular attendees who consider Lakeside their church home. We end the service with another song and then head downstairs for coffee/tea time, and a chance to visit. We'd love to have you join us.

What kind of people will I find there?

All ages, from infant to elderly, attend Lakeside Community Church. There's something here for everyone. We are a church family that has fun together, no matter where we go. Stop in to talk or check us out at one of our "Crowd Events" when we take church to the community center, wharf, waterslides...wherever.
