Untimely isn’t a word that applies to our God. While some of the hiccups in our trips planning have seemed untimely, they didn’t come as a surprise to a God who dreamt up this crazy plan, has provided abundantly for the trips many needs, and who desires to work all things together for the good of those who love him. Not necessarily convenient good, easy good, or obvious good…but a wise, timely, spiritual, and potentially faith building good!

And here we are, almost ready to go! Thank you for your many prayers in these last days – especially those of you aware of the little computer issue that caused us to lose all of our trip information. Our team has banded together and we’ve gotten together all we need to feel confident going! God is in control and we are well aware of it – what better way to begin a trip designed to show his love and power to those we minister to and for us ourselves to experience!

Well, back to planning – I just wanted to let you who have been praying know that a sense of freedom, organization, and peace has risen out of chaos…isn’t that just like our awesome Jesus?

Stay tuned!

How do you choose?

This Thing Just Won’t Die!

Mar 13, 2011   //   Pastor Ken Dryden   //   Current Series  //  No Comments

32 “Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. 33 But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven.

34 “Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I have come to turn

“‘a man against his father,
a daughter against her mother,
a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law—
36 a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’[a]

37 “Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. 38 Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me. 39 Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.
